A Knife That Allows for Effortless Cutting

The Japanese brand Kai manufactures internationally recognized knives for their quality. In addition to professional knives, the brand creates utensils such as razors, scissors, and sharpening stones.

The Nakiri knife is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife. The Nakiri features a double-edged sharpening and is recognizable by its rectangular shape. The tip of the knife is slightly rounded to quickly cut your vegetables. It allows for effortless cutting of carrots, cucumbers, as well as chopping herbs.

This professional Nakiri knife is part of the Shun Classic range combining the traditional art of forging Japanese samurai swords with modern and sophisticated manufacturing processes of our time. The range is a perfect alliance between craftsmanship, technique, and design.

Recognizable by Its Rectangular Shape

Equipped with a 16.5 cm sharp blade made of VGMAX steel, with a high concentration of carbon and cobalt, this Kai Nakiri knife has undergone a 32-layer Damascus process that mixes layers of hard and soft steel, giving the blade hardness and flexibility. This guarantees excellent sharpness while remaining flexible for greater robustness.

The very straight rectangular blade maximizes the use of the razor-thin edge, allowing for easy slicing. It reaches a hardness of 62 HRC, allowing you to sharpen it less frequently.

This Nakiri knife has a handle made of Pakka, a noble material consisting of wood and resin compressed under heat. With its "D" shape, it is perfectly suited to fit the shape of your hand. Ergonomic and practical to use, it is easy to handle and suitable for long periods of use. It also withstands temperature variations and is water-resistant.

With refined aesthetics, it meets the requirements of food industry professionals. It is also suitable for individuals and enthusiasts wishing to equip themselves with quality.
