The Japanese Paring Knife Designed for Elite Chefs

The Japanese brand Kai is internationally recognized for producing high-quality knives. In addition to professional knives, Kai also manufactures tools such as razors, scissors, and sharpening stones.

The paring knife is among the smallest, versatile with its slim and semi-pointed blade. It's ideal for chopping and mincing herbs, peeling, scraping, and slicing fruits and vegetables, for example.

This professional paring knife is part of the Shun Classic series, merging the traditional art of forging Japanese samurai swords with modern and sophisticated manufacturing processes. The series showcases a perfect blend of craftsmanship, technique, and design.

A Knife Series of Exceptionally High Quality

Equipped with a 9 cm razor-sharp blade made of VGMAX steel, enriched with carbon and cobalt, this Kai paring knife underwent a 32-layer Damascus process that combines hard and soft steel layers, providing the blade with both hardness and flexibility. This guarantees exceptional sharpness while maintaining flexibility for increased durability.

The blade offers a clean and precise cut, previously crafted to achieve a convex edge. It reaches a hardness of 62 HRC, allowing for less frequent sharpening.

This Japanese knife has a handle made of pakka, a noble material composed of wood and resin compressed at high temperatures. With its "D" shape, it is perfectly designed to fit the shape of your hand. Ergonomic and easy to use, it is comfortable for long periods and withstands temperature variations and water.

With refined aesthetics, it meets the demands of culinary professionals. It is also suitable for home cooks and enthusiasts looking to equip themselves with quality.
